Obama is very supportive of MPAA and RIAA legal actions to fine individuals up to $150,000 (THOUSAND!) dollars per TRACK illegal downloaded. I don’t think this is “not a crime” as some claim, but I also believe that charging more than $1/track is insane. And he supported granting immunity to telecom companies for illegally wiretapping US citizens. Both issues were also supported by the Bush/Cheney administrations and by McCain/Palin.
All that said, I’m still glad we didn’t wind up with this. {Bob Cesca’s Goddamn Awesome Blog! Go! (The name is his, not mine…)}
