Why do I keep watching things like this? As I write this, the DOW hovers around 6,500. The last time it was this low was December 1996. I’m betting we bottom out at 4,000 (Jan-Feb 1995 levels). At least, I would bet on that if I had somewhere to place that bet. I could try buying stock, but that’s a losing proposition…
