I thought felt better. So I drove 2 hours to Winona. I do not feel better. I do not want to spread this bug. I will drive 2 hours back home.

Feeling much better this morning. Just wish I was up early enough to get a walk in at sunrise!
By 2020, about 18% of US power generation could come from renewable resources.
We have around 260k miles of high voltage lines in America. Of 3k HV transformers, less than 300 are critical, with no US manufacturers.
The cost per outage is on par with major floods and hurricanes, but the frequency of outages is much higher, averaging around $120m each.
The US power grid is currently 7-8% renewable, including hydro. Higher than I expected, but not high enough.
Our power grid is deteriorating. Major outages and impact of those outages have more than doubled in the past 15 years.

Just wrote the last check to pay off one of my college loans. Nice feeling, that.
Wow. Gophers in OT. Third night in a row the game went to OT. Play-offs, here we come, maybe? (Oh, and the brisket was smoky, but awesome.)
Concerned that my already-smoked brisket had no juice in it left to cook. Dinner may be more like a two-pound beef jerky. Damnit.
Briskets on the grill. Now just four or five hours to wait until they’re done. I’m already hungry.
Mmm. Lunch is a [wheat] pasta with broccoli, walnuts and brie, paired with a belgian ale. I love cooking.
The rub for my Brisket for dinner tomorrow: brown sugar, chili powder, pepper, sea&shallot salt, worcestershire, mustard, garlic, onion, bay leaves and a little secret ingredient. I hope this rub mixes well with the already-smoked brisket I have!
There’s something very satisfying about culling through ~300 photos and only rejecting the less-than-best shots rather than those messed up.
Off to dinner with a gaggle of friends and their kids. Hello, pizza party!
